Male NG Benson AZ

As expected we left Texas, since the weather was so poor. We cancelled a month in Rockport, and at least a month in Georgetown (Austin), having spent only 1 week in Austin. Now we will end the season in Benson, AZ.
8 February 1 P.M. at Saint David Monastery. 1 male goshawk at 300 feet elevation. OT- 2minutes. Also soaring 1 Red-tailed Hawk with a Peregrine and a Raven. We will and must go back to this area. I am quite sure I observed a Golden -fronted Woodpecker. We also heard the loud vocalization. What is exciting about this area and right in Benson are 2 birding ponds, with lots of ducks.
