male gos- Anacortes

6 August- 4:30 P.M. PTRVP
1 male Gos circling over and over again at 300 feet elevation- rising to 350 feet. This hawk had a square tip tail. Sighting - naked eye. Well, this is my first sighting of the Gos since 24 of May. So the goshawks have returned- but not really, they have never left the area (nesting area) about 2 miles away. Very recently, I have read in newspaper that Peregrine Falcons (chicks) have fledged, and rock climbing is now allowed on this particular area of Mount Erie. NG are also nesting in the area as are Bald Eagles, Osprey, Cooper's, and no doubt Red-tailed Hawks.
